Washington Close Queen's Birthday Jamboree

posted 7 Jul 2016, 04:34 by Matt Wilson
Staff and pupils from Biddulph High School and The Roaches School held a joint event with the residents of Washington Close to celebrate the Queen's birthday.  Money was raised for The Dog's Trust and for Staffordshire and Shropshire Blood Bikes.  The event was attended by Staffordshire Chief Constable Jayne Sawyer, Jill Salt, Biddulph Town Mayor and John Robinson, Biddulph Town Crier.  Thanks to the lovely Steve Sherratt, PCSO and Roaches School governor and the amazing Linda Hopkinson, Manager of Washington Close for helping to organise the day.  Great credit goes to the young people of both schools who performed music and displayed an eco electric race car!
